Why do you think Jesus used this phrase in verse 9?

I’ve heard it said it takes more manufactured belief to believe that God does NOT exist than to believe that God does exist.

Trivia:

Q. How many prophecies did Jesus fulfill about Himself?
A: All of them!
(That was kind of a joke; not all of them have been fulfilled yet, but Jesus is coming back soon!)

The actual number of prophecies fulfilled according to most scholars is:  _________

Many of the prophecies were completely out of the control of any one natural human.
However, Jesus Christ was and is SUPER-natural!
The mathematics behind fulfillment of prophecies has been likened to the following analogies.

Paraphrased from a study at MIT:

(Per http://www.eons.com/blogs/entry/1332824-How-Many-Bible-prophecies-Did-Jesus-Fulfill-)

Using modern probability to calculate just EIGHT prophecies brings us to 1 in 100 trillion!
That’s 1 in 100,000,000,000,000.

Another way to represent this is to imagine the following:

If we put down 100 trillion silver dollars to cover the entire state of Texas, they would cover the state two feet deep. Has anyone driven through Texas before? I’ve heard it’s a long boring drive.

Next, take just ONE of those silver dollars, and mark it with an X, then hide it somewhere in there.

Finally, take a man and BLINDFOLD him, then let him walk as far as he wants through Texas then choose only ONE coin. That is what it looks like to fulfill only EIGHT prophecies.

Jesus fulfilled not just eight but 48 prophecies!

That is 1 times 10 to the 157th power, or 1x10^157.

When 1x10^14th power represent eight fulfilled prophecies and coins two feet deep across Texas, 10 to the 157th power is mind-boggling.
